Use Cases

  1. Project organizers need tools to define their data categorizations for specific hierarchies, including; across multiple projects, within a single project, or withing a sub-project.  To make the most of the data categorization, both data providers and data consumers need to understand the defined categorization for a given hierarchy.
  2. Project organizers need tools to help them find files that have not been categorized as expected withing a given hierarchy (cross project, project, or sub-project), and to easily make any necessary corrections to file metadata.
  3. For projects where organizers have chosen to use annotations to organize files, only data consumers capable of writing SQL like queries can take full advantage of this this organization.  Data consumers need UI tools to find data of interest without writing a query.
