The team discussed how they wanted to estimate story points on the team. The conversation was around how they were doing it and if it still served the team moving forward. They talked about how other factors play into estimation for example: How much is known at the time of estimating, dependencies, effort and risk.

  • Look at the past stories as they close to see if there was something to take away from the estimation that the team could use to better estimate future stories in the future.

  • Pulling in 13 point stories without breaking down the story with Kevin to fully understand the scope, requirements, and expectations.

  • Estimating stories, looking for stories that are repeatable to use as anchor stories.

Taking a feature out of Alpha Mode is a repeatable story and the team identified it as a Size .5
