Synapse Developer On-Boarding

Employee on-boarding in general is covered here. This page lists the on-boarding steps for a Synapse developer, to be completed after the general employee on-boarding is done.

 

  • JumpCloud: The worker should already have a JumpCloud account. Add them to the aws-synapsedev-developers group in the admin console.

  • LastPass: The worker should already have a LastPass account. Share the Shared-Platform folder with them.

  • Add the worker to the Synapse Engineering Google group.

  • Add the worker to recurrent meetings for the Synapse team, including Sprint Planning, Stand-Ups, Synapse Retrospective, Stack Review, Sprint Demos, Dev Triage.

  • Add a Jenkins account for the user on the build machine, here. Share the password with the worker in LastPass.

  • Add the worker to the “Synapse Developers” github group

  • Grant the worker access to Sage-Bionetworks GitHub organization.

  • The worker should have a Jira account. In the Jira admin' console, add them to these groups: confluence-users, jira-users, platform-developers.
