Background

This is our first sprint using this process, we added a number of stories outside of estimation and planning. We accepted at least one story that was estimated for 2 sprints (this was the 2nd of those sprints).

We estimated all developers at the same rate.

  • If we estimate a story > 1 sprint, review estimate at the end of the 1st sprint

  • Break stories down to fit a sprint, even if the delivery isn’t for the end user

  • Start with individual Story Point Capacity for each delivery team member at each sprint. (Adjusting for off-board work, other work, and time-off)

  • Backlog, Backlog, Backlog. -

  • Sharing roadmap with Dev team

  • Estimating Developers at the same story point per sprint (for example Xa has items in other areas).

  • Stand-up meetings are efficient

Action items

Underestimated PLFM-6865 - Refactoring made estimation difficult. Might have broken it down further after 1st sprint.
