This article describes the procedure for how MODEL-AD teams should submit new mouse model information to the Sage Data Coordination Center (DCC). Information about the model will be posted on the experimental tools page on the AD Knowledge Portal.

Step 2: DCC adds model to the AD Knowledge Portal

  • The DCC creates a new file entity in Synapse’s Experimental Tools for the strain. The entity is . This will be named after the Model Common Name and will link to the JAX lab strain stock page.

  • The AD-DCC will add the report into the Mouse Model Reports in Synapse. Since the mouse model reports do not include sensitive information or PII/PHI, they are eligible for anonymous viewing and download permissions in Synapse. The Sage Governance team is responsible for enabling sharing permissions for each file in Synapse.

The DCC writes release notes to inform the community when a new strain model is available. The release notes are posted in AD Knowledge Portal News and link to the experimental tool in the AD Knowledge portal.
