This article will teach you how to submit a new mouse models to Synapse.

Submit new mouse model

The first step is for the MODEL-AD teams fill out to provide information for the AD Knowledge Portal Cards by describing available MODEL-AD generated mouse/rat models. MODEL-AD teams need to submit this mouse model description in the MODEL-AD Tools survey when new models are available.

Include instructions for names. Strain names and stock numbers should match those names used on the Jax labs stock pages. Target genes should also need to be included.

Sage DCC enters link to study with data available on the model.

Sage DCC writes release notes to inform the community a new model is available.

MODEL-AD teams provide mouse model reports

Mouse model information in PDF. A link to this PDF needs to be added to the mouse model card in Synapse.

Create Jira ticket and assigned to Director. Once approved this will be assigned to the governance team to set permissions accurately for files. Some files will be publicly viewable and will need approval by the governance team to be allowed. This occurs at the file, not folder level.
