Data Transfer
This section describes how MODEL-AD teams should contribute data to the DCC. In our onboarding call, we will review how MODEL-AD content is organized in the portal. It is important we all understand clearly what content will be transferred (data type, file format, file naming, number of files).
Let us know about your data contribution: https://forms.gle/YJaPuEumYRnwm8916
Data Transfer Paths
The Curator will create the Synapse directory structure that is appropriate for the data types including a private staging directory for data uploads. The staging directories and an overview of the expected data for your study will be emailed.

Once your metadata and data files are ready to upload to Synapse, specify the parentID
for each file type in the manifest file. Then you will be able to use a Synapse client (Python, R, or command line) to programmatically transfer each file to its correct location on Synapse. The curator will review and annotate the data. If everything is OK, the files will be moved to their permanent location and made publicly available. Otherwise, we will email you with any questions.
