Installation:
- If needed, install R from http://cran.r-project.org/
From the R command prompt, install the following packages:
source('http://depot.sagebase.org/CRAN.R') pkgInstall("synapseClient")At a later date, we anticipate that this package will be available via Bioconductor or CRAN
- NOTE: If you are running OSX, you will need to install tcl/tk for all of the client features to work properly. You can find the installer here: http://cran.r-project.org/bin/macosx/tools/tcltk-8.5.5-x11.dmg
NOTE: the "zip" command must be executable from your OS's command interpreter. If you see an error like the following, you can resolve the issue by following these instructions: Installing Zip
Error in owner@fileCache$createArchive() : Archive could not be created because it contains multiple files yet the system does not have zip installed.

Optional:
- We recommend installing RStudio It is an integrated development environment for writing and running R code.
- Unable to render {include} The included page could not be found.

- Any Linux/Unix platform will use the source of the package and compile/install as-needed
