Ah ok, in that case I think leaving it for the next release is fine.
This release will have absorbed the pain of the upgraded python version and setting up builds for R4 so releases going forward will be much simpler.
An RC of synapser version 0.7.64 with the updated Python client and R4 binaries for windows and macOs has been deployed to our staging RAN server and can be installed e.g.
Our build system verifies the packages are loadable across the matrix of OSes (Linux, Mac, Win) and supported R versions (3.5, 3.6, 4.0) but I have additionally installed and verified that the synapser package loads and run vignettes on the following platforms on non build machines:
Ubuntu 18.04 R
Ubuntu 16.04 R3.6
macOS El Capitan (10.11) R3.5
macOS Catalina (10.15) R4
Windows Server 2019 R4
Windows Server 2019 R3.6
can you validate an installation?
Validated that I can install synapser on R 4.0.0:
synapser 0.7.64 with support for R4 has been released to the prod ran server.
