excel files for synapse sync

we have a format for sending manifests with documentation on allowed columns/values that comes as an Excel document with three sheets, the first being the manifest. It would be useful to allow this type as input to the sync function.

We are adding to py-2.0 to consider use cases here, I am not personally so sure about relying on Excel files (versioning is kind of messy here – with different Excel file formats) but we can consider different sources for manifest generation.

Hi all,

The annotationUI shiny app has documentation on the concept, basics, and how to generate the manifest matrix.

You can also use this app to download the json format of the user defines/ desired annotations. This file format could be used as an input to the annotator syncmanifest command (-f or -file tag).

NOTE: The annotator _main_ script is still on develop branch. But I've made sure that all of what I have written actually works and passes the tests.

There are some comments on the help call or functions in annotator. I can also meet and explain in person via appt.

Comes from this tool - do you have documentation for this format/output of the manifest?
