Update ACT profile rejection template text in Synapse
Request to revamp the ACT profile validation rejection template text in Synapse.
New template text:
You must become a Certified User first before you request Validation. Please take and pass the Synapse Certification quiz. Here is the link to the quiz: https://www.synapse.org/#!Quiz:Certification
You must add at least one piece of public information (education, employment, etc.) to your ORCID profile. For help with this process, please see the ORCID support documentation: https://support.orcid.org/hc/en-us/sections/360002054993-Assert-your-affiliations
Please print the Synapse Pledge and completely fill it out by typing your full name at the top, checking off each statement, and then signing and dating the bottom of the sheet before scanning and uploading it. Here is the link to the Pledge: https://docs.synapse.org/assets/other/oath.html
Typed signatures are not acceptable for the Synapse Pledge. Please either scan in your handwritten signature, use an e-signature tool such as Adobe or Docusign, or use another e-drawing tool to sign.
Please submit an accepted form of identity attestation documentation. A list of all acceptable forms of documentation can be found here: https://docs.synapse.org/articles/accounts_certified_users_and_profile_validation.html#acceptable-documentation-for-identity-verification
Old template text attached for reference. Please keep the formatting the same but update the text of the rejection options.
Thank you - that worked and everything looks great. Closing this out!
I’m trying to test this in the staging site, but when I go to the profile validation dashboard, I am redirected out of the staging site. Do you know if there is a different way to get to the dashboard without being redirected out of staging?
If not, I can wait to validate this Jira until the changes are pushed to the live site, since only ACT will see these updates anyway.
No pending validation requests - will verify fix next week once I get a request. Thanks again!
My mistake, I didn’t mean to leave it in the submitted state. Please reject it for me. Thanks!
