When users are tagging users and teams in discussion forums, the real-time search takes quite a long time, and the users report getting lots of non-relevant results (people they don't know, or who aren't active in the project).
Three potential solutions:
1. Make the auto-complete search far faster (user in question referenced "Slack" for their expected experience when trying to @ someone (JIRA is another good example).
2. Provide more context to search results to better disambiguate users w/ similar names (e.g. Group users by "In this discussion" or "In this project" or similar?)
3. Somehow "remember" which users are frequently tagged by currentUser (this seems hardest and value is unclear).
What are our options here?
