One of the AMP-AD contributors has been trying to validate a file through dccvalidator. The app is up and running fine for both Mette and myself. It's on the shiny server under kwoo/dccvalidator-app.
When the user logs in, the app creates a folder in syn21643404 with their name, if it doesn't exist already. This user has permissions for creating this folder, and has done so as recently as 3/11/2020. Looking at the logs starting 3/17/2020, it appears that the user was denied the ability to create the folder, which shut down the instance of dccvalidator for them. They tried to use the app repeatedly with the same issues.
Kara and I have noticed issues with the tokens used for authenticating in Shiny causing the application to crash at times. In a couple of the logs, it seems like this may have been an issue, but the user logged out of Synapse and logged back in (something that I've found fixes the token problem). The user is still unable to use the app and the recent logs only show that they do not have create permissions, which they do have.
I'm at a loss as to what's happening here. Any assistance would be welcome.
