"First, we're uploading a terabyte plus of image files into Synapse so hopefully we're not breaking anything. Success could result in a meaningful data sizes.
Second, we're debugging the upload time and appear rate limited at 1.5Mbps. The upload is being performed from linux box at the Foundation. Speed tests indicate 50Mbps so this doesn't appear to be a local problem. Are uploads rate limited into Synapse?"
"We're going through the API from a python script."
Reached out for more information regarding timing of upload, where they got the value of 1.5Mbps, if they are using their own REST calls or specifically our Python client functions, individual file size/volume, and if any parallelization.
